FORWARDS
Memphis Depay, LYN v. ZNT (€23): Memphis has been in excellent form to start the Ligue 1 season, scoring four goals on 18 shots (seven on target) and adding one assist on five chances created. His salary isn't that low, but Lyon are solidly favored at home against Zenit St. Petersburg, and he has a role on set pieces to help his floor. Speaking of set pieces, Bertrand Traore has had a bigger role on corners, and while his attacking output isn't nearly as high, his €12 price surely helps make up for that.
Erling Haland, RBS v. GNK (€24): There are a number of big-name forwards on the slate, including Lionel Messi (€27), Mohamed Salah (€29), Antoine Griezmann (€27) and Sadio Mane (€25), but don't let their prices make you look beyond Haland, who has scored 11 goals in seven Austrian Bundesliga matches this season, including a hat trick this past weekend. Salzburg have a high-flying attack in league play, and while the Champions League is usually another level, a home match against Genk shouldn't change their regular plans.
Dusan Tadic, AJA v. LIL (€26): Tadic continues to play as a false nine for Ajax, the second-biggest favorite on the slate, and it only helps that he has some of the best anytime goal scorer odds because he takes penalties for the side. Access to the Ajax attack can (and should) be had in the midfield too, and if you're interested in the starting forward for the biggest favorite on the slate, that would be Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku (€22), who had a goal in each of his first two Serie A starts.
MIDFIELDERS
Hakim Ziyech, AJA v. LIL (€26): No player on the slate has a higher floor than Ziyech, who is the primary set-piece taker for the second-biggest favorite. He comes in averaging nearly six shots and four chances created per game, and with Ajax expected to do what they want against Lille, there's very little reason to fade Ziyech even though he'll be highly owned. Because we have 10 other roster spots to fill, just each the chalk and differentiate elsewhere. One player to add if you're paying up is Chelsea's Mason Mount (€26), who has a dominant role on set pieces for a team that's hosting a Valencia side that just got blasted 5-2 by Barcelona after recently firing their head coach.
Stefano Sensi, INT v. SLP (€10): Sensi has been the main set-piece taker for Inter Milan, the biggest favorite on the slate, and his minimum-priced salary is still very attractive even if he loses a few of those dead-ball opportunities to Matteo Politano (€14). It's a bit of a puzzling price, but thankfully one we can take advantage of and move on. He's also not the only minimum-priced midfielder who should be getting attention, as the RB Salzburg duo of Zlatko Junuzovic (€10) and Dominik Szoboszlai (€10) are also grossly underpriced since Salzburg are such big favorites against Genk, with the former likely taking set pieces, though the latter could as well. Finally, Lille's Yusuf Yazici (€10) could be an attractive GPP option, though with so many other cheap players it's tough to justify him since they're such big underdogs at Ajax.
Pizzi, BEF v. RBL (€12): Pizzi is mostly known as Benfica's holding midfielder who also takes set pieces, but he's turned into a goal machine this season, scoring six times in five games, including two from the penalty spot (and a third that was unsuccessfully converted). Playing more on the wing now, Pizzi's attacking returns have greatly improved, and while Benfica are home underdogs, they should still be able to hang with Leipzig, who could have their set pieces taken by Marcel Sabitzer, another solid option at only €10.
DEFENDERS
Marcos Alonso, CHE v. VAL (€17): Valencia are in shambles, and while Alonso isn't exactly known for his strong defensive qualities, it's his attacking upside we're more interested in against a side that just allowed five goals to Barcelona. The clean sheet upside is certainly nice, though if that's the priority then Andreas Christensen (€11) and Kurt Zouma (€12) are more suited for that, especially since Fikayo Tomori is €18.
Patrick Farkas, RBS v. GNK (€10): Salzburg are expected to control the match against Genk, and Farkas offers some attacking upside to go along with his clean sheet chances. Andreas Ulmer (€16) took some set pieces last season, though it's not a role we've seen this year, and while his attacking upside may be slightly higher, it's not worth the extra salary. Farkas' minimum price is hardly the only one worth considering, as Lukas Klostermann (€10) of RB Leipzig and Sergino Dest (€10) for Ajax fit that mold, while Leipzig's other wingback, Marcel Halstenberg (€11), is worth the extra euro because of his role on set pieces.
GOALKEEPER
Cican Stankovic, RBS v. GNK (€16): Given Salzburg's dominance this season, not to mention their strong win odds Tuesday, Stankovic makes plenty of sense with a mid-tier price among goalkeepers. While he's not drastically cheaper than the top-priced options, he provides a level of security that we don't necessarily get with guys like Marc-Andre ter Stegen (€18) or Kepa Arrizabalaga (€18).
