Gameweek 31 suddenly came upon us and it still doesn't feel like it really happened. Is there any other way to explain Mesut Ozil's one-goal, one-assist performance while Alexis Sanchez didn't even find the score sheet despite the Gunners scoring thrice? At forward, Hull (Abel Hernandez), Watford (Troy Deeney and M'Baye Niang) and Bournemouth (Benik Afobe) players led the charge as Diego Costa's struggles continued.
But of course, plenty of usual suspects performed to their abilities, as Spurs had an incredible late turnaround at Swansea with the help of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen. Eden Hazard did whatever he wanted against Man City, and even with a missed penalty had more fantasy points than most. Sergio Aguero has again taken his position as one of the best strikers in the league, while Jamie Vardy can't be left out of that conversation, either.
On a short week, some will be worried about Philippe Coutinho's illness that caused him to be subbed early on Wednesday, but a few days rest should help ahead of a match at Stoke. But on the road, Liverpool won't be the most sought-after side with Spurs starting the weekend against Watford at White Hart Lane, followed by Man City hosting Hull and then Everton against Leicester on Sunday. There aren't any surprises from Tottenham's camp, with Eriksen and Dele two of the best armband options. Dele has scored or assisted in each of the last five matches, and while Watford have won their last two (both at home), they haven't scored in their last two on the road.
All signs point to Aguero tallying a goal for his fourth straight match. Similar to Watford, Hull have been a much different side on the road, as they've given up nine goals in their last three away from home. Kevin De Bruyne is a fine play per usual, but Leroy Sane seems to create something in every match on the left side and would be a better differential captain. Some may have forgotten about Romelu Lukaku after his road struggles, but it can't be forgotten that he's a different player at home. He has scored in his last six matches at Goodison Park with that total at 10. Leicester are playing well, but a lot of that has to do with playing at King Power Stadium. They won at West Ham before the international break and that was the first time they took three points away from home all campaign. But with a range of injuries and suspensions, Lukaku is probably the only way to go for the Toffees.
Everywhere Swansea travel, they allow goals so the Hammers will be an underrated side with Andre Ayew and Manuel Lanzini proving to be solid options. Lanzini has scored in his last three at London Stadium. The other team to stretch for could be Middlesbrough against Burnley, though trusting anyone on Boro may be a mistake. Alvaro Negredo has yet to score in back-to-back matches this season.
Arsenal close the weekend at Crystal Palace and Alexis is probably the only guy to give your attention to from the Gunners… unless you really like Ozil. As usual, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be atop some lists, but he's still a hard guy to trust on the road, even against lowly Sunderland.
