PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Guillermo Ochoa, MEX v. VEN: Both sides have already clinched spots in the quarterfinal, though Mexico only need a draw to win the group. They've been a buzzsaw in the first two matches, scoring five goals while allowing just one. Venezuela have blanked Uruguay and Jamaica, but there is no hotter team in the group than the Mexicans, giving Ochoa a great shot at the win.

Andre Blake, JAM v. URU: Both sides have been eliminated from knockout round contention, so if Uruguay sends out a lesser squad (not that their top squad was any good), Blake could be in for a fine game based on his reduced price.

DEFEDNER

Maxi Pereira, URU v. JAM: Pereira stuffed the stat sheet in Uruguay's shocking 1-0 loss to Venezuela, finishing with three shots, four crosses, four fouls drawn and two tackles won. The Jamaica attack has generated zero goals in two games, and with the attacking players that Uruguay have, it's tough to see the Reggae Boyz doing much damage that would keep Pereira from getting closer to goal.

Rolf Feltscher, VEN v. MEX: Feltscher is averaging 7.5 fantasy points per game in Venezuela's opening two matches, and he continues to be fairly underpriced given the production. Venezuela need three points to win the group, so Feltscher could be asked to move up the wing more than usual.

Michael Hector, JAM v. URU: The Jamaican defense hasn't been able to get forward much, but if there's a player who will do it, it's Hector against an Uruguay side that has really struggled overall this tournament.

Marcos Rojo, ARG v. BOL: I actually don't love Rojo's price on DraftKings, and this is more of a "start whoever starts in Rojo's spot" if Argentina decide to make lineup changes with their group win all but clinched.

MIDFIELDER

Arturo Vidal, CHI v. PAN: Vidal came up huge in Chile's last-gasp win over Bolivia, scoring two goals (one from the penalty spot), putting all four of his shots on target and adding three crosses. He's a beast in the midfield and will be a vital part of Chile's attempt to clinch a spot in the next round.

Alejandro Guerra, VEN v. MEX: A win will see Venezuela clinch the top spot in the group, though it's worth noting that Mexico have been excellent defensively in the first two games of the tournament. Nevertheless, Guerra has been Venezuela's best attacking player for fantasy purposes, and he's still not priced in the elite group of midfielders despite 26 points in his last two games.

Andres Guardado, MEX v. VEN: Back from suspension, Guardado figures to reclaim his spot in the starting lineup and his role on corners in a game Mexico need a result in (though he's likely to split them with Miguel Layun). It's always tough to pare down who could start in the Mexican midfield, but Guardado and Layun at least provide a decent floor.

Nicolas Gaitan, ARG v. BOL: Argentina are already in the knockout round, with the top spot all but locked up thanks to goal differential. Angel Di Maria is questionable after leaving their last match with a knock, and if he sits, Gaitan is expected to take over corners, though Ever Banega could poach a few. If Argentina go with wholesale changes, Erik Lamela could be a very solid option.

Gaston Ramirez, URU v. JAM: Uruguay have been extremely disappointing in their first two matches, though Ramirez looked solid in their second game, finishing with two shots, two crosses, two fouls drawn, three tackles won and an interception in 73 minutes. If he can get enough playing time, he should be able to provide a nice return against a struggling Jamaica back line.

FORWARD

Alexis Sanchez, CHI v. PAN: Chile need a result to advance to the knockout round, which means their attack will be in full swing, led by Alexis, who also takes their corners. His price is far from cheap, but with so much riding on his performance, he's likely to take a ton of shots and create lots of corners.

Sergio Aguero, ARG v. BOL: With Gonzalo Higuain struggling to get much going, and Aguero playing very well off the bench, we could see a switch in the starting lineup given the game isn't overly important for Argentina. Lionel Messi showed what he can do in a limited amount of playing time, and while I think he starts, Aguero probably offers better value given Messi's absurd (and justified) price.

Raul Jimenez, MEX v. VEN: I recommended Chicharito for the Sunday-Monday slate, but think Jimenez could provide more value on this slate given the near-need to roster Alexis. Jimenez didn't start Mexico's opening match, but he had four shots (two on target), three crosses, three fouls drawn, three interceptions and one tackle won in their last game. Yes, Venezuela is much better than Jamaica, but stats like that shouldn't be ignored.

Garath McCleary, JAM v. URU: Both teams have been eliminated from knockout round contention, so there's really no need to worry about defending, right? If that's the case, McClearly should get plenty of use taking corners for Jamaica, who have gotten very little from Giles Barnes.
