ODDS REPORT

EXPECTED CORNER TAKERS

Queretaro: Neri Cardozo
Cruz Azul: Adrian Aldrete
Atlas: Candido Ramirez
Puebla: Carlos Alberto Guzman
Monterrey: Edwin Cardona
Necaxa: Luis Gallegos
Pachuca: Urreta
Pumas: Javier Cortes
America: Rubens Sambueza
Morelia: Carlos Adrian Morales

PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Moises Munoz, AMR vs. MOR ($3,000): Keep an eye on the situation in Club America's net, but Munoz got the start last weekend and all indicators are pointing towards the same lineup taking the field again. This is a downgrade in net from Hugo Gonzalez, and Munoz definitely did not have it all last week on the road. This is a new week, however, and the matchup is almost bulletproof. America ARE the biggest favoriteS on the board and their goalkeeper is minimum priced at home; what more can you ask for? If you want some more cash game safety and have the money to spend, Monterrey's Alex Dominguez and Pachuca's Oscar Perez are priced higher, but points-per-dollar math has Munoz as my no. 1 overall.

DEFENDER

Carlos Alberto Guzman, PUE at ATL ($5,800): The way the salaries are built this week, there is room to get up to the top of the heap and look for a higher priced defender. Guzman may just be the pick this week, and though I am not liking his chance at the clean sheet

DEFENDER

Carlos Alberto Guzman, PUE at ATL ($5,800): The way the salaries are built this week, there is room to get up to the top of the heap and look for a higher priced defender. Guzman may just be the pick this week, and though I am not liking his chance at the clean sheet bonus, his floor is just astronomical compared to the defenders in his price range when he is needed to be crossing the ball. Given that, I think Atlas will take an early lead, which means Puebla will need to be pushing the tempo and getting the ball upfield, the exact responsibilities of Guzman.

John Stefan Medina, PCH vs. PUM ($4,800): I'm not convinced that Pumas will have much possession of the ball at all, and that bodes well not only for clean sheet potential but also defenders that can be active in the attacking third. Medina had a quiet outing last week, but I'm not scared off from his potential. He opened the season scoring in three straight, and games when Pachuca project to have dominant possession time bode very well for Medina.

Erik Vera, NEC at MNT ($4,400): For all the brilliant defensive work Necaxa have done through the first month of the season, it has been hard to single out particular players as significantly valuable in terms of fantasy production. Vera is our first real chance to capitalize as he has shown good point potential on both sides of the ball, and his ability to win tackles and draw fouls should be tested thoroughly going on the road to face an attacking Monterrey squad. The more Monterrey has the ball, the more points Vera can rack up.

MIDFIELDER

Rubens Sambueza, AMR vs. MOR ($11,300): While everyone continues to flock to Carlos Sanchez for just $100 more, Sambueza certainly has the better matchup and has been the much better player this season. Sambueza has taken just four shots all season, only one of them on target, and he still has hit double-digit fantasy points in three of the four games. Given his high floor from crosses, when he finally puts the pieces together on attack he will do more than pay off his high price tag. This matchup definitely has the potential to be the week that he does that in.

Urreta, PCH vs. PUM ($9,800): I won't quit until readers of this article see Urreta highlights in their nightmares. As long as DraftKings keeps refusing to increase his price, he should be in your lineups every week, period. His ownership is sky high with Hirving Lozano in Rio, but once Lozano returns we can still roster him due to the massive hit in confidence Lozano must be feeling. If I had to pick a team not named America to win this weekend, Pachuca would be the next bet and where there are Pachuca goals, there are Urreta highlights.

Candido Ramirez, ATL vs. PUE ($4,800): Those of you who read my season preview article know how badly I have been waiting to roster Ramirez, and I think the time has finally come to where he is a viable daily fantasy play. He made his first team appearance two weeks ago, and then scored and sent in five crosses in 69 minutes last week. His leash is getting longer, and a matchup against a visiting Puebla is a sneakily good place to target. Atlas are always an overlooked source of value when they play at home, and though they are the fourth-biggest favorite out of five, they are still a sizable home favorite in a game that bookmakers project to hit the over.

FORWARD

Carlos Quintero, AMR vs. MOR ($6,500): Considering Pabon's Olympic absence and the matchups that the other mega-priced forwards face, Quintero at bargain value is really the highest-priced forward I am considering for this slate. I am not in love with Monterrey's matchup as the bookmakers are, and I think rostering Quintero is a better way to distance yourself from the high ownership that Monterrey's Rogelio Funes Mori will have at just $8,100. America is a huge favorite and there are goals to be had in this 90 minutes; Quintero should find his share.

Angel Sepulveda, QUE vs. CRZ ($5,300): Sepulveda had a weak performance last time out, but a road match against Chivas is not exactly a golden opportunity. The good news is that game-log watchers should be scared off and fade him in this much better spot at home against a struggling Cruz Azul team. Sepulveda has yet to score this tournament, but he has hit double-digit points in his first three weeks. This fits the "high-floor" criteria that I like to employ in my forwards, and with the number of shots that Sepulveda points on target, he is bound to convert.
