Roazhon Park, Rennes

MATCH PREVIEW

Rennes face off against Lyon in a thrilling match day 30 encounter at Roazhon Park.

Rennes are in tremendous form this season and are playing some unexpected football, including victories over the leagues' top teams. They currently sit eighth in the table, winning three and drawing two in their last five home matches. Having already defeated Lyon 2-0 in early December, they will be confident of three points again at home. However, Rennes will be without a number of players, as Hamari Traore, Ramy Bensebaini and Benjamin Bourigeaud are suspended, wile Romain Danze, Ludovic Baal , Rafik Guitane, Jakob Johansson and Theoson-Jordan Siebatcheu are out injured.

Lyon come in third in the table, though they've struggled recently, including a loss to 16th-place Monaco and a draw with 10th-place Strasbourg. Looking at their recent form, it will be more difficult for Brunco Genesio's side to beat Rennes at their home, where they are unbeaten in their last seven. Lyon will be without Kenny Tete, Ferland Mendy, Amine Gouiri, Lenny Pintor and Maxwel Cornet due to injuries.

PREDICTED LINEUPS

Rennes: Tomas Koubek (GK), Mehdi Zeffane, Damien Da Silva, Mexer, Souleyman Doumbia, Benjamin Andre, Clement Grenier, Ismaila Sarr, Hatem Ben Arfa, Romain Del Castillo, M'Baye Niang

Lyon: Anthony Lopes (GK), Rafael, Marcelo, Jason Denayer, Fernando Marcal, Lucas Tousart, Houssem Aouar, Bertrand
