Dream11 Fantasy Soccer: Liverpool v. Chelsea Preview

This article is part of our Dream11 Fantasy Soccer series.

Game Preview

Chelsea enter this game in third place with 63 points, but they could begin the action in fourth if Manchester United defeat West Ham United earlier in the day. The Blues control their Champions League fate, but things could get complicated if they lose this match. Liverpool have not looked like the same dominant team they were earlier this season, but who could blame them? They already won the league and have nothing to play for. Given how they've approached games, though, it's safe to say they won't be taking this one for granted. Liverpool have won all but one game at Anfield this season and will want to close out their home campaign in style.

Top Picks

Sadio Mane, Liverpool: Mane and Mohamed Salah are both locks to feature in most lineups, but the Senegal star gets a slight nod over the Egyptian because he has had a bit more success against the Blues in the past. He is also on a scoring tear, betting in Liverpool's last league match and finding the back of the net in each of their last four home wins.

Olivier Giroud, Chelsea: It's quite uncommon to list Giroud as a potential top fantasy option, but it's hard to deny the Frenchman has been playing some of his best matches since his Arsenal days over the last few weeks. Giroud, who has sent Tammy Abraham to the bench on a permanent basis, has scored the opener in three of Chelsea's last four Premier League games. At the very least, all signs point towards him starting Wednesday over the England international.

Captain and Vice-Captain Options

  2. Olivier Giroud
  3. Mohamed Salah
  4. Willian
