7:30 p.m: D.C. United v. Atlanta United
8:00 p.m: FC Dallas v. Houston Dynamo
8:00 p.m: Toronto FC v. Philadelphia Union

PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Alexander Bono, TOR v. PHI ($5,800): Bono is the obvious chalk pick Wednesday. Toronto is running away with the Supporter Shield, and it is largely due to the strength of its defense. The Union are a competent home team, but on the road, things are much different for Philly. The Union has scored just 11 goals in 12 games away from Talen Energy Stadium. On the other hand, Toronto has conceded just eight in 12 home games this season.

DEFENDER

Justin Morrow, TOR v. PHI ($5,700): Morrow can reach a solid floor, but more importantly he is the most likely defender on any MLS slate to score a goal. He leads all MLS defenders with five goals in 2017, and it is mostly due to his role as a left wing-back, which allows him to get into the attacking third on a consistent basis.

Hernan Grana, DAL v. HOU ($5,000): In this year's third edition of the Texas Derby, the tiebreaker is in Dallas. Grana is a great way to get exposure to the home side in a game where there should be plenty of stats to go around. Grana's cross count over the past couple of months has been by far the best by any defender in the league during that span.

Nicolas Hasler, TOR v. PHI ($4,000): Hasler broke through with his first career MLS goal Saturday. Steven Beitashour is just returning from injury and is probably not yet ready to start. Hasler should remain the starter a right wing-back, and he offers for a pivot from Morrow, or a even a piece of a Toronto stack in what should be a very one-sided affair.

MIDFIELDER

Romain Alessandrini, LA v CLB ($10,700): Alessandrini has not gotten the recognition he deserves this year, and a large part is to due to the Galaxy's collapse. He is road-proof and Columbus is a team that plays an open style, which plays right into the hands of the Frenchman. If the Galaxy are going to get anything out of this match, Alessandrini will need to put the team on his back like he has all year.

Justin Meram, CLB v. LA ($8,300): While Federico Higuain has been out, Meram has been on set piece duty, and it has helped his fantasy floor rise. He plays against a very poor Galaxy defense Wednesday, so he should have plenty of opportunities to produce at home. The price is right, the floor is there, and he has shown all year that he can exceed value.

Victor Vazquez, TOR v. PHI ($7,100): Vazquez is the partner in crime for La Formica Atomica (Sebastian Giovinco). He's not the safest play because he needs either an assist or a goal to hit value, but if he was ever going to get one of those (he has 16 combined this year), Wednesday will be the day.

FORWARD

Sebastian Giovinco, TOR v. PHI ($12,400): Seba is always a chalk play, and in a matchup of this nature, it would be foolish to fade such a lock.

Ola Kamara, CLB v. LA ($7,800): Jelle Van Damme is done with the Galaxy, so that leaves Dave Romney and Daniel Steres to defend Kamara. Romney and Steres are underrated center-backs in the league, but they are nowhere close to reaching the defensive prowess of a Van Damme. Kamara should cause the backline fits all night.

Kekuta Manneh, CLB v. LA ($6,100): Manneh is essentially the reason why Ethan Finlay was traded to Minnesota. Manneh has had somewhat of a rejuvenation since entering the lineup in July. His minutes are never guaranteed, but he has shown that if he starts, he is more likely than not to hit value.
