PLAYERS TO CONSIDER
GOALKEEPER
Asmir Begovic, BH v. GRC ($4,900): The more expensive goalkeepers on the slate appear to be surer bets for wins, and likely clean sheets, but Begovic arguably has higher save upside. With the Netherlands, Portugal and Belgium likely to have the ball a ton, their opponents aren't likely to create enough save opportunities to pay off their high salaries.
DEFENDER
Ludwig Augustinsson, SWE v. FRA ($4,400): Augustinsson is a high-crossing fullback, a role he plays for his club team, FC Copenhagen, as well as the Swedish national team. His spot in the starting XI isn't guaranteed, and Martin Olsson ($4,300) should be considered if he's in the first XI instead. Neither player will be intimidated against a strong France attack, especially at home, and they should have a few opportunities to get forward.
Dario Dumic, BH v. GRC ($2,800): Dumic isn't really the recommendation but a reminder to check on the Bosnia and Herzegovina lineup because they will be without regular left-back Saed Kolasinac (suspended), which could open up a cheap fullback in a match against a Greece side missing a number of players.
MIDFIELDER
Miralem Pjanic, BH v. GRC ($7,700): Greece have numerous defenders out with suspensions, and Pjanic is responsible for their set pieces. The upside is with forward Edin Dzeko ($8,400), but Pjanic is definitely the safer floor option.
Emil Forsberg, SWE v. FRA ($6,100): The matchup against France won't be easy, but Sweden have played well during qualifying and get this one at home. Forsberg led the Bundesliga in assists this season and should be on set pieces for the Swedes, who continue to try to fill the giant void left by Zlatan Ibrahimovic's international retirement. France have some excellent players, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Sweden get on the scoreboard, with Forsberg likely to play a part.
Ricardo Quaresma, POR at LAT ($9,400): Quaresma's price is high, but he'll be taking most free kicks (Cristiano Ronaldo will surely poach the shooting opportunities), and he'll do so for a side that is heavily favored and expected to score multiple goals. He shoots more for his club team, Besiktas, than he does for his country, but the cross opportunities will be there if he starts.
FORWARD
Cristiano Ronaldo, POR at LAT ($11,800): Ronaldo is the most expensive player by $1,300, but no one has as much upside, as evidenced by his ridiculous anytime goal scorer odds. In fact, his +110 odds to score at least twice are the same as one goal for Antoine Griezmann ($9,500) and better than Edin Dzeko's ($8,400) and Kevin De Bruyne's ($10,300) one-goal odds. He is coming off a Champions League title with Real Madrid and enters with nine goals during the qualifying matches, leaving him just four short of the record.
Arjen Robben, NED v. LUX ($8,600): Only Ronaldo has better anytime goal scorer odds than Robben, who also has the benefit of taking a few corners for the Dutch. However, he doesn't have a monopoly of set pieces, with Memphis Depay ($8,300) and Wesley Sneijder ($7,700) possibly grabbing some, but Robben is by far their best overall attacking threat, he's playing in the game with the highest expected total and his side is the biggest favorite. Vincent Janssen ($7,400) could also be considered, but his floor and upside are lower than Robben's.
