Daytona 500 with MBM
NASCAR Cup
January 3, 2025
Motorsports Business Management will enter the No. 66 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the 67th annual Daytona 500 with veteran NASCAR racer Wallace behind the wheel.
ANALYSIS
The veteran driver has more than 800 starts combined in NASCAR's top 3 touring series and 11 starts in the Daytona 500. Wallace has an impressive resume but is now 65-years-old. He hasn't competed in NASCAR's top division since 2015 and not since 2020 in the Xfinity Series. This will be an interesting start for Wallace in the new generation stock car, but he'll have long shot odds in February's Great American Race.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2014
2008
Wallace made only 1 Cup start and 1 Xfinity start in 2015. He is a free agent driver in 2016.
Wallace tallied one Top-10 finish and a 12th-place finish in the final driver standings of 2012. He will come back for an impressive 24th year of racing in the Nationwide Series. Wallace returns to the seat of the No. 01 Chevrolet, and to basically the same team he had at the end of last year. He claimed 17 Top-20 finishes last year, so while Wallace wasn’t leading laps and picking up Top 10’s he was generally staying on the lead lap and racing competitively. We should be in for an eye-full of the same in 2013. Wallace has always been a steady performer on the larger ovals.
