Joins Meyer Shanks Racing
IRL
November 13, 2024
Armstrong will drive the No. 66 Dallara-Honda for Meyer Shank Racing in the 2025 NTT IndyCar Series season.
ANALYSIS
Armstrong won Rookie of the Year honors in 2023 despite only competing at the road courses. He followed that up in 2024 with a full-time season where he scored five top-five finishes. That being said, Armstrong was only able to manage a 14th place finish in the championship while his teammate Alex Palou won another title. Chip Ganassi Racing was forced to downsize from five to three full-time teams with the new charter agreement, and Armstrong and Linus Lundqvist were the two odd men out. Armstrong still has a lot of talent and he will look to have a strong season in 2025 in the second chapter of his IndyCar career.
