Camping World Truck
January 10, 2019
Two-time ARCA Racing Series winner Dean will join Young's Motorsports full-time for the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season, Dean Racing PR reports.
ANALYSIS
Dean will make the jump from ARCA to full-time racing this season in the Gander Outdoors Truck Series. He will pilot the team's No. 12 Chevy SIlverado and make a bid for Rookie of the Year in 2019. Veteran crew chief, Jeff Stankiewicz, will head up the team's efforts. Dean grabbed one win and 10 Top-10 finishes last season en route to a sixth-place finish in the final ARCA standings. The 24-year-old driver brings a lot of potential to the table for this growing race team.

Dean made just one start in 2021 in Timmy Hill's truck. No 2022 plans have been announced.
Dean made just a couple truck series starts for owner Timmy Hill in 2020. The 26-year-old driver crashed and did not finish in both those attempts. Dean's 2021 plans have not been announced, but he'll likely race a very light part-time schedule again in the upcoming season.
Dean returns for a second full season of truck series action in 2020. The 25-year-old driver had a bit of an up-and-down campaign last year. Dean collected 10 Top-15 finishes en route to a 15th-place points finish in 2019. He lacked the speed to challenge for wins and Top-10 finishes. The hope is to improve the team performance in the upcoming season. As Dean showed in the ARCA Series in over 50 starts, he has the ability to lead laps and win races as a driver. Reducing the team's DNF's is a good place to start. The six DNF's Dean collected last year were a real hit to the average finish.
Dean makes the jump from the ARCA Series to the Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2019. The 24-year-old driver will run for Rookie of the Year, and make a strong bid for that award in the upcoming season. Dean nabbed two victories and 27 Top-10 finishes over the last three seasons in ARCA, collecting a pair of Top 6 points finishes along the way. He's done all he can do at that level, and now it's time to move up to stiffer competition. Young's Motorsports will put him in the No. 12 Chevy Silverado and pair him with crew chief, Jeff Stankiewicz. This team was part-time last season with a handful of different drivers, and only made five events. So the expansion to full-time racing will come with some bumps along the way.
