Off Aug. 10 card
Medic disclosed via his personal Instagram account (via Octagon Update) that he has suffered a rib injury that will force him to withdraw from his scheduled Aug. 10 matchup against Danny Barlow.
ANALYSIS
Medic was looking to build some momentum following his POTN-winning victory over Tim Means in April, but an injury suffered during camp will halt those efforts. It's unclear what a current timeline for return might look like.

Set to take on Barlow
Medic will face Barlow in a welterweight bout at UFC Vegas 95 on Aug. 10, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Medic has recorded eight of the 10 wins of his career via knockouts, and he's coming off a KO win over Tim Means on April 27 this year. He owns a 4-2-0 record at the UFC level.

Knockouts continue to pile up
Medic defeated Tim Means via TKO (punches) at 2:09 of Round 1 at UFC on ESPN 55 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Medic doesn't get talked about much, but he's shown far more good than bad since debuting in the UFC back in March 2021. His greatest difference-maker has been his power. One lightning-fast uppercut was all it took to put the aging Means away. Now sporting a 4-2 record in six fights with the company, all four of his wins have come via knockout. The one thing Medic does need to clean up moving forward is his submission defense, as both of his defeats have come via that method. The 31-year-old Alaska native remains a fighter to keep an eye on at 170 pounds moving forward. He'll also would go on to take home an extra $50,000 here after winning one of four Performance of the Night bonuses awarded on the evening.

Scheduled in April
Medic will take on Tim Means in a welterweight matchup at UFC Vegas 91 on April 27, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Medic lost via submission to Myktybek Orolbai back in November, but had been riding a two-fight winning streak prior to that, recording finishes in each. He's a high-volume striker, as is Means, but Medic holds the slight statistical edge in that area with 5.64 significant strikes landed per minute of fight time. Medic will give up an inch in height and four inches in reach to Means.

Taps out to newcomer
Medic lost to Myktybek Orolbai via submission (neck crank) at 4:12 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Orolbai accepted this fight four days ago, and it's quite clear at this point Medic wished he hadn't. Uros came out on fire, throwing bombs and connecting on quite a few, but once Orolbai flipped the script and leaned on his wrestling game, Medic was done. He displayed very little awareness in regards to defending on the mat, and his gas tank was quickly drained. He finally tapped out late in Round 2. The 30-year-old Alaska native is 3-2 in his first five UFC bouts, with all three wins coming via knockout and the two defeats via submission. Expect Medic to hover around the .500 mark moving forward.
