Secures first UFC victory
Bleda defeated Gabriella Fernandes via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC on ESPN 47 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
There were plenty of positive signs from Bleda in her first UFC victory. She landed three takdowns for 10:51 worth of control time and displayed some vicious ground-and-pound from top position. This should have been a routine decision, at which point Bleda appeared to tire in Round 3 and found herself getting picked apart along the fence. She appeared to be at real risk of getting finished, at which point she pushed forward for a takedown and muscled Fernandes to the mat, eliminating the threat. A product of Dana White's Contender Series, Bleda won't be 22 years of age until the very end of November, so all that really matters at this point is she remains healthy and gets repeated reps inside the Octagon.

Fernandes fight scheduled
Bleda will fight Gabriella Fernandes at a UFC Fight Night scheduled on June 17, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Both fighters lost their debut fights with the UFC. Fernandes suffered a UD loss against Jasmine Jasudavicius earlier this year. As for Bleda, she will try redeeming herself after losing to Natalia Silva via TKO (spinning back kick and punches) back in November.

Fizzles after strong start
Bleda lost to Natalia Silva via KO/TKO (spinning back kick) at 1:27 of Round 3 at UFC Vegas 65 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Bleda was able to use her physicality to get the fight to the mat early, but couldn't find a submission finish in Round 1. From there, Silva's speed and control of the range were simply too much for the debutante, who became increasingly tired as the fight wore on. This led to a telegraphed shot that was met with a thunderous kick to close the show. Bleda's strength and grappling will be a major advantage in this division, but she will need to work on her cardio in order to stay in fights down the stretch. She falls to 6-1-0 in professional MMA as a result of the loss.
