Bahadurzada lost to Ismail Naurdiev via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-25) at UFC Copenhagen on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
This was a thorough beatdown, as shown by multiple judges who freely delivered 10-8 rounds in favor of Naurdiev. Bahadurzada tallied only 12 significant strikes over the 15-minute bout and was hit with 149 total strikes from Naudiev (only 69 of which were considered significant). He connected briefly in Round 2, but that momentum was quickly negated by a Naurdiev takedown. The 35-year-old Bahadurzada has now dropped back-to-back contests.

Pegged for UFC Copenhagen

Bahadurzada (undisclosed) will battle Ismail Naurdiev at UFC Copenhagen on Sept. 28, Farah Hannoun of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bahadurzada was forced to withdraw from UFC Ottawa in early May due to an injury, but it appears the issue is finally behind him. After three straight wins, he fell to Curtis Millender last December via unanimous decision. The pair have both shown a fair amount of versatility in their fighting styles, so look for a fairly well-rounded match in that regard. Bahurzada surrenders a one-inch reach advantage to Naurdiev, who does a good job of avoiding contact typically, absorbing just 0.63 significant strikes per minute.

Bahadurzada will no longer face Nordine Taleb at UFC Ottawa on May 4, as he announced via a personal Facebook post that he cannot compete due to injury.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear what exactly is affecting Bahadurzada, but it's worth noting the welterweight fighter was dealt a lengthy medical suspension due to knee and jaw fractures after his UFC 232 bout against Curtis Millender. Whether he's still seeing residual effects or this is a new injury is something that remains to be seen. In the meantime, the UFC will attempt to locate a new opponent for Taleb on just 10 days' notice.

Baharduzada has been added to UFC Ottawa on May 4 against Nordine Taleb.
ANALYSIS
Baharduzada had been serving a 180-day medical suspension stemming for possible fractures to his jaw and left knee, but it appears he's been cleared by a physician and is set to enter the ring again in May. He's coming off a loss via unanimous decision to Curtis Millender (28-29, 28-29, 27-30) at UFC 232 in December so he'll be looking to end the losing streak at just one against Taleb.

Drops decision at UFC 232 in Los Angeles
WelterweightUFC
December 29, 2018
Bahadurzada was defeated by Curtis Millender via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 27-30) at UFC 232 on Saturday in Los Angeles.
ANALYSIS
Bahadurzada came into this fight looking to brawl. He lost the first round because he threw wild punches that only found air while his opponent stayed technical and picked him apart with kicks and jabs. In the second round, Siyar found success with his wild style and negated Millender's footwork with his forward pressure. A takedown and ground and pound towards the end of the round secured the round for Bahadurzada. In the third "The Great" found himself in trouble when he was wobbled by a straight right from "Courteous." Bahadurzada showed heart by surviving and countered with a takedown, but that wasn't enough as Millender was able to get back to his feet and reverse another takedown at the end of the fight.
