Kharitonov will fight Linton Vassell in the heavyweight main event of Bellator 234 at the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv on November 14, Alexander K. Lee of mmafighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kharitonov just recently won a bout August 24 after defeating Matt Mitrione for the second time this calendar year. Just over a week after the match, the 39-year-old already has his next fight booked in which he will take on challenger Linton Vassell on November 14 in Tel Aviv, Israel. Kharitonov is currently riding a six-fight win streak and will look to make it seven in a few short months.

Kharitonov is slated for a rematch against Matt Mitrione on August 24th, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kharitonov sustained a hemorrhoid after an accidental groin kick ended his initial matchup in February against Mitrione after just 15 seconds. Now fully recovered, the veteran fighter will seek a win over Mitrione in August. Kharitonov boasts a 28-6 overall professional record and had won seven-straight matches entering February no-contest.

Kharitonov has been cleared of any internal bleeding after Friday night's matchup against Matt Mitrione, which was ruled a no-contest after Kharitonov took an accidental kick to the groin, Ariel Helwani of ESPNreports.
ANALYSIS
It's still not all bright and merry for Kharitonov, who was still diagnosed with a hemorrhoid after getting a second round of tests. Friday's main event only lasted 15 seconds before Kharitonov absorbed one of the worst groin strikes in recent memory, and was unable to continue the fight. It's unclear if the two fighters will attempt to run it back, or how long the Russian will need to be on the shelf.

Kharitonov defeated Roy Nelson via TKO (knee) at 4:59 of Round 1 at Bellator 207 on Friday in Uncasville, Conn.
ANALYSIS
This bout started with a bit of controversy. Kharitonov appeared to not know that you can't knee a downed opponent in the head. He unloaded a pair of knees on the ground, which hurt Nelson. "Big Country" was hurt, but the doctor allowed him to continue following a break. Once the bout restarted, it was clear that Kharitonov's boxing was going to be the story of the fight. He used a solid jab to set up hard hooks and uppercuts. When the boxing forced Nelson to stand still, Kharitonov would going to his knees. With less than ten seconds left in the first round, Nelson stopped against the cage. The Russian fighter went to the knee and finished the bout. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Kharitonov in Bellator. He will likely continue to take fights out of the promotion and have the occasional showcase fight.
Returns to form with KO at Bellator 175

Kharitonov defeated Chase Gormley via KO (Punch) at 3:55 of Round 1 at Bellator 175 on Friday in Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Kharitonov returned to the Bellator cage for the first time since falling via knockout in his promotional debut. He appeared a bit more tentative early in the fight. Gormley stayed on the outside and scored with punches and kicks. However, whenever Kharitonov landed it was hard. Late in the round, the Russian fighter came forward with a two-piece combination that dropped Gormley. He hit the ground, and he was out cold. Kharitonov needed an impressive win after his last fight, and he took care of business.

Kharitonov lost to Javy Ayala via KO (punch) at 0:16 of round 1 at Bellator 163 on Friday in Uncasville, Conn.
ANALYSIS
This was supposed to be a showcase fight for Kharitonov. Nobody told Ayala. After stuffing a takedown early, it looked like it might be smooth sailing for the Pride FC veteran. However, a few seconds later, he caught an overhand right that put his lights out. He was clearly out before he hit the ground. Prior to this fight, Kharitonov had only been knocked out twice with the last time coming in 2006.
