No-shows loss in Vegas
Alpar lost to Erin Blanchfield via unanimous decision (25-30, 25-30, 26-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
As the scores show, it was not a good night at the office for Alpar. She entered as a +310 underdog, which in hindsight, was way too low. Hopelessly over matched from the very start, there's a real case to be made that all Alpar lost each of the three rounds by a 10-8 count. She was credited with just 45 total strikes landed (unofficially) over the course of the 15-minute bout. Alpar earned her UFC opportunity with a submission win on Dana White's Contender series in August 2019, but she has now suffered two lopsided defeats in her first two official bouts with the company. Alpar is already 30 years old and had no history of sustained success on the regional scene, so this may be the best she has to offer.

New fight scheduled for September
Alpar is set to fight Erin Blanchfield at UFC 266 on September 18, Nolan King of MMA Junkie reports.
ANALYSIS
Alpar was originally supposed to be fighting Stephanie Egger this upcoming Saturday at UFC Fight Night 188. However, Egger was pulled from the bout due to COVID-19 protocols and her replacement, Lupita Godinez, was unable to get a Visa in time to compete in the United States so the fight ended up being pulled from the card. Alpar's new opponent was set to make her UFC debut in April but her opponent missed weight by 3.5 pounds and the fight had to be scrapped. Both fighters are in search of their first wins in the promotion which should make for an enticing matchup.

Gets new opponent
Alpar will now be fighting Lupita Godinez at the UFC event on May 22 after her initial opponent, Stephanie Egger, announced Sunday that she is withdrawing from the bout, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
It's currently unknown why Egger had to step out of the upcoming fight against Alpar but both she and Godinez will be hoping to secure a win after they each dropped their most recent fights. Both fighters are inexperienced in the UFC, with Alpar owning a 1-1-0 record and Godinez losing her debut against Jessica Penne in April.

Set for May 22 bout
Alpar (nose) will take on Stephanie Egger on the May 22 card, TKO Combat Sports & Entertainment reports.
ANALYSIS
Alpar was handed a six-month suspension late last September for a possible nasal fracture and hasn't taken the Octagon since then. She has just two career UFC bouts under her belt and sports a 1-1-0 mark in the contest, falling to Jessica-Rose Clark in her last bout via TKO (knee). Next on her schedule is another fighter in Egger who is looking to get in the win column for the first time in her UFC career after falling via unanimous decision to Tracy Cortez in her debut. Alpar stands two inches shorter and sports a four-inch shorter reach than her opponent, so she may focus on getting inside and taking Egger down.

Long layoff ahead
Alpar is facing a six-month medical suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission pending medical clearance of a potential nasal fracture, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Alpar took a sustained beating that was likely much longer than necessary in her loss to Jessica-Rose Clark on Saturday, and the effects thoroughly decorated the canvas red for the evening's later fights. It was the knees from Clark that seemed to do the most damage, likely contributing to the potential fracture. Alpar will be on the shelf until late-November at the very least, with the possibility of an absence that extends through springtime.
