Added to UFC 216 against Matt Schnell
Beltran will face Matt Schnell in a flyweight fight at UFC 216 on October 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Beltran joined the UFC in 2014 and gained three consecutive wins but hasn't seen success in the past 12 months. He fell victim to Joe Soto and Deiveson Figueiredo via stoppage prior to the second round bell. This bout pits him against Matt Schnell, who hasn't seen a UFC victory since joining the promotion in December. Both flyweights are struggling to prevent early stoppage and looking for a victory after two consecutive losses.

Falls in opening bout of UFC 212
Beltran lost to Deiveson Figueiredo via TKO (strikes) at 5:00 of Round 2 at UFC 212 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro.
ANALYSIS
The only thing Beltran has going for him at the moment is that his record during his time with the UFC remains over .500 at 3-2. It was a second straight dreadful effort from Psycho. In the rare instance when he seemed to be making some progress on the feet, his technique got sloppy and the debuting Figueiredo promptly planted him on his back. Beltran technically made it to the end of Round 2, but he was deemed unfit to come out of his corner for the final frame. We have seen enough from Beltran to know that he doesn't have much of a future with the company.

Taps out in under two minutes against Joe Soto
Beltran lost to Joe Soto via submission (Heel Hook) at 1:37 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Originally scheduled to face Guido Cannetti, Beltran clearly wasn't ready for his last-minute replacement opponent. Beltran got sloppy on the mat after Soto scored an early takedown and the rest was history. Beltran was 3-0 in the UFC entering Saturday's fight, but Soto was by far the best man he has faced up to this point. It's been a rough night thus far for the Mexican fighters in their home country.

Now faces Joe Soto at UFC Fight Night 98
Beltran will face Joe Soto at UFC Fight Night 98, Shaun Al-Shatti of MMA Fighting reports.
ANALYSIS
Beltran was previously supposed to face Guido Cannetti, but Cannetti was bumped from the card now that he's dealing with a potential USADA violation. Regardless, Beltran is coming into the fight having won three-straight fights, most recently submitting Reginaldo Vieira with a rear-naked choke at UFC Fight Night 90.

Potentially out for six months
Beltran could be out for six months due to a potential left knee fracture and three loose front teeth, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Beltran recently defeated Reginaldo Vieira via submission at UFC Fight Night 90 on Thursday. He'll need to be cleared by an X-ray or a doctor, and also a dentist, in order to avoid a medical suspension that would last until January 4, 2017.
