Santos won The Ultimate Fighter 32 featherweight finale on Saturday, defeating Kaan Ofli via KO (punch) at 1:30 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Santos entered as a -200 favorite, but it should have been upwards of -2000 given the obvious gap in talent between the two. Mairon looked calm and composed throughout, using his six-inch reach advantage to hammer Ofli at distance. The finish came when one massive left hand closed the show in an instant. It was a truly impressive performance on multiple fronts. Still just 24 years of age and now the newest official member of the UFC roster, Santos -- who trains at Xtreme Couture in Vegas -- is a fighter to keep an eye on moving forward at 145 pounds.
