Taps out Elise Reed in Australia
Lookboonmee defeated Elise Reed via submission (rear-naked choke) at 0:44 of Round 2 at UFC 284 on Saturday in Perth, Australia.
ANALYSIS
This was the first submission victory of Lookboonmee's professional career, which is absolutely shocking considering how slick the finish was. She and Reed fought even terms for nearly the entirety of the opening round before the latter gained some traction late. That all changed at the start of Round 2 when Lookboonmee, who is deceptively strong for a woman that stands 5-foot-1, dragged Reed to the mat and immediately clamped on the rear-naked choke. Lookboonmee's 5-2 UFC record is pretty impressive, but she has no history of defeating better competition. Still, at just 27 years of age, there's time for her to make a run at 115 pounds.

Expected to fight in February
Lookboonmee is anticipated to fight Elise Reed in a strawweight bout at UFC 284 on Feb. 11, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Lookboonmee will fight again for the first time since a unanimous decision over UFC rookie Denise Gomes on Sept. 17. The Muay Thai specialist out of Thailand will take on an opponent in Reed who is 2-2 in her UFC career, as she is coming off her own unanimous decision over Melissa Martinez on Sept. 10. Lookboonmee will have a slight two-inch height disadvantage and a 1.5-inch reach disadvantage.

Decisions debuting opponent
Lookboonmee defeated Denise Gomes via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Although this fight wasn't particularly close, Lookboonmee put herself in danger on numerous occasions by rolling around with Gomes on the mat despite a clear technical edge on the feet. Loma also lost a dominant ground position more than once, although it didn't come back to haunt her. Lookboonmee is a better all-around fighter than she gets credit for, in addition to being deceptively strong for a woman who stands 5-foot-1. All six of her UFC bouts have seen the final bell, with Lookboonmee winning four of them. The upside here is pretty limited, but Loma should put forth a competent effort most every time out.

Will now fight Gomes
Lookboonmee will now fight Denise Gomes instead of Diana Belbita in a strawweight bout at UFC Vegas 60 on September 17th, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Lookboonmee gets her opponent switched up, and now has the pleasure of fighting Gomes, a 22-year-old on a six-fight winning streak. Lookboonmee is coming off a loss via decision to Loopy Godinez last November. She enters the fight listed an inch shorter than Gomes.
