Taking on Heili Alateng in April
Croom will face Heili Alateng in a bantamweight bout at UFC's April 16 event, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Croom won his UFC debut in 2020 but had the victory overturned and was suspended for marijuana use, and he's lost his past two bouts via unanimous decision. Alateng's last bout was a draw with Gustavo Lopez in September during which he was penalized for repeated fence grabs, and he's without a victory since winning his first two fights in the promotion back in 2019.

Still searching for first UFC win
Croom lost to Brian Kelleher via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC on ESPN 32 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Croom's struggles don't come as much of a surprise considering he entered as the biggest underdog on the entire card at +290. Croom actually attempted (203-126) and landed (83-67) more total strikes than Kelleher, but the latter connected on a half dozen takedown attempts, good for 6:26 worth of control time, and that doomed Croom in the eyes of the judges. The 34-year-old Missouri native remains without a victory (0-2, 1NC) in his first three UFC bouts, and there is no guarantee Croom will receive a fourth opportunity with the company considering how his first three tries have gone.

Filling in on Saturday
Croom will take on Brian Kelleher at the UFC event on Saturday, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.

Croom accepted the short notice fight after Saidyokub Kakhramonov had to withdraw for an undisclosed reason. Croom last was in the Octagon in February when he lost by unanimous decision to Alex Caceres.

Won't fight Rojo
Croom has withdrawn from his scheduled Aug. 28 fight versus Marcelo Rojo, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear why Croom is unable to fight. Rojo will now fight Jonathan Martinez on Sept. 4. Croom does not have a timeline to return to action.

Next fight coming August
Croom will fight Marcelo Rojo in a featherweight matchup at the UFC's event on August 28, Entre Rounds reports.
ANALYSIS
Croom is coming off a rough loss to Alex Caceres back in February, marking the second consecutive fight without earning a victory (his impressive win against Roosevelt Roberts in September was overturned by NSAC due to a positive cannabis test). He'll boast a three-inch height advantage over Rojo, who suffered a loss to Charles Jourdain during his UFC debut back in March.
