Weems will forfeit 30 percent of his purse after weighing in at 139.5 pounds ahead of Saturday's matchup with Christian Rodriguez, John Morgan of The Underground reports.

Coming in at three and a half pounds over the bantamweight limit, Weems will not make another attempt on the scale and will forfeit a fraction of his purse to Rodriguez on Saturday, regardless of the fight's outcome. The weight miss is somewhat understandable to an extent, considering Weems stepped up to replace Garrett Armfield (infection) on the card with less than a week's notice.
