Loses to Montel Jackson
Strader lost to Montel Jackson via TKO (punches) at 3:02 in Round 1 at UFC Vegas 22 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Strader struggled to recover after getting hit by the heavy-handed Jackson despite having some early success landing low kicks. Jackson knocked down Strader twice. Strader didn't defend well enough to continue for Keith Peterson's liking after the second knockdown, so Peterson stopped the fight. This was a challenging test for Strader's UFC debut, so it's understandable why he lost. If Strader gets an entire camp, he can certainly have a better showing in the future.

Misses weight
Strader weighed in at 137.5 pounds which is 1.5 pounds overweight and will result in him forfeiting 20 percent of his purse to opponent Montel Jackson, John Morgan of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Strader's fight against Jackson will still go on as planned but he'll have to forfeit 20 percent of his earnings. The 29-year-old is making his UFC debut at Saturday's event and will look to make a good first impression despite failing to make weight.
