Facing Brendan Allen in headliner
Hermansson agreed to fight Brendan Allen in a middleweight bout which will headline UFC Fight Night on June 3, Brett Okamoto of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hermansson was defeated by Roman Dolidze via TKO (punches) in December and has alternated wins and losses in his past eight fights. Allen is on much more of an upward trajectory with four consecutive victories, including a win over Andre Muniz last month.

Crushing loss to Roman Dolidze
Hermansson lost to Roman Dolidze via TKO (punches) at 4:06 of Round 2 at UFC on ESPN 42 on Saturday in Orlando.
ANALYSIS
You can't help but feel for Hermansson here. Originally scheduled to face Derek Brunson, Jack agreed to remain on the card after Brunson (undisclosed) was forced to withdraw, only to fall to Dolidze. Hermansson had a good opening round, controlling the pace on the feet and landing a takedown. Oddly enough, the tide turned in Round 2 when he landed a second takedown. Dolidze was eventually able to clamp on a calf slicer which he used to flatten Hermansson out. Roman continued to fire off unanswered punches which led to referee Keith Peterson stepping in. Hermansson is clearly one of the better middleweights on the UFC roster, but this is a results-oriented business, and Jack having alternated losses and wins in his past seven bouts simply isn't going to get the job done.

Gets new opponent
Hermansson will face Roman Dolidze at UFC Fight Night on Dec. 3 after Derek Brunson (undisclosed) was forced to withdraw, Brett Okamoto of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Brunson picked up an unspecified injury and was forced to drop off the card, but Hermansson will remain to take on a new opponent. Hermansson is coming off a victory over Chris Curtis in July and has alternated wins and losses over his past six bouts. Dolidze has three straight wins and is coming off a victory over Phil Hawes on Oct. 29, so he'll have a quick turnaround.
