Set to face Cerqueira
Aslan will face Raffael Cerqueira in a light heavyweight fight at UFC 308 on Oct. 26, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Aslan debuted at the UFC level as a winner when he defeated Anton Turkalj via TKO when the two met in late March this year. This will be his 15th pro fight, but only his second in the UFC, so it remains to be seen what his potential will be at this level.

Gets revenge on Anton Turkalj
Aslan defeated Anton Turkalj via TKO (punches) at 1:32 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Atlantic City.
ANALYSIS
Aslan gets his revenge on Turkalj and walks away a winner in his UFC debut. This was a reckless, back-and-forth brawl for the entirety of the fight. Both men landed big shots, but neither were able to significantly damage their opposition until one Aslan right hand early in the final frame did the trick. Then end result was both men getting a $50,000 bonus after this brawl was given Fight of the Night honors. Ibo has some real power and is durable, having never been knocked out in 14 pro bouts, but it's difficult to see him going on any sort of run with the UFC given his lack of technical skill.

UFC debut on tap
Aslan agreed to fight Anton Turkalj in a light heavyweight bout at UFC Atlantic City on March 30, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Aslan earned a contract through Dana White Contender Series in August with a knockout of Paulo Renato Jr., and his first fight for the promotion is now penciled in. Turkalj also came up through the Contender Series in 2022, but he's gone 0-3 in his first three bouts.

Big swings result in UFC contract
Aslan defeated Paulo Renato Jr. via KO/TKO (punches) at 2:21 of Round 1 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. After the show, he was one of five fighters to be awarded an official UFC contract.
ANALYSIS
Perhaps we had been spoiled by fights that took place at lower weight classes, but neither competitor looked particularly sharp in this one, swinging wildly until one of them (Aslan) happened to connect. That's not to say that the 27-year-old has no future in the organization, but considering his last victory before this was against an opponent who holds a record of 5-11-0, it may be wise to temper our expectations somewhat. Aslan is powerful and athletic, but he will need more than that to stand out in the light heavyweight division.
