It was widely assumed the Swede would have a grappling edge in this fight, so of course he went out and engaged Pedro in a slugfest and was obliterated in the process. Turkalj earned his opportunity with the company with a unanimous decision win on Dana White's Contender Series in July 2022, but he's been positively dreadful since officially making his company debut 364 days go. The odds are against "The Pleasure Man" receiving a fourth UFC bout.

It's difficult to land five takedowns in a 15-minute bout and get swept on the scorecards, but Turkalj managed to pull it off here. That's what happens when you allow your opponent to land seven takedowns on nine attempts. On the bright side, Turkalj made things interesting enough by checking in relatively evenly in the striking department and creating a few interesting scrambles. As a result, both combatants earned a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus for their efforts here, despite the lopsided scorecards.
