Drops tight split decision
De Freitas lost to Tony Gravely via split decision (27-30, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was an admirable effort from de Freitas considering he appeared to be finished entering Round 3. Unable to defend the takedown, de Freitas found himself on his back and unable to generate consistent offense over the course of the first ten minutes. The final frame was a different story. The Brazilian floored the gas pedal and landed plenty of power shots but the damage was already done in the eyes of the judges. It obviously isn't the result de Freitas was looking for but the fact he rebounded from a slow start is promising. That being said, de Freitas will have to emerge victorious his next time out because he has now dropped back-to-back fights since winning his UFC debut back in February 2019.

Slated to fight in November
De Freitas will face Tony Gravely in a bantamweight bout at the UFC Apex on Nov. 14, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
De Freitas hasn't fought since August of 2019 when he lost to Chris Gutierrez via split decision at UFC Uruguay, but he'll make his return in November. He'll face Gravely, who lost his UFC debut to Brett Johns via submission (rear-naked choke) at UFC Raleigh in January. De Freitas should be good to go following his medical suspension earlier in the year and carries advantages in height and reach.

No longer competing in London
De Freitas will no longer face Jack Shore on Saturday following the relocation of UFC London, Jim Edwards of Fighters Only reports.
ANALYSIS
The UFC will be relocating the weekend's event, per an official statement, which leaves fighters like Shore unable to secure travel plans on short notice, especially given the recently-imposed restrictions to combat the spread of COVID-19. It's unclear if this matchup will be rescheduled for a later date.

Added to London card
De Freitas (nose) will face Jack Shore in London on March 21, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
De Freitas has one win and one loss since joining the UFC. His loss, a submission in his most recent match against Chris Gutierrez in August, resulted in a six-month medical suspension due to a broken nose, but he'll be good to go by March. His opponent, Shore, is undefeated in 12 professional fights but has fought just once under the UFC banner.
