Drops decision at UFC 264
Condit lost to Max Griffin via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 27-30) at UFC 264 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Condit deserves credit for making this fight somewhat competitive following a lousy first round. He managed to pick up both the pace and effectiveness in the second frame before taking a step back in Round 3. Condit has been fair in each of his past three (2-1) fights, but he is clearly and understandably trending in the wrong direction at age 37. His aggressiveness has waned and he is struggling to get his head off the center line defensively. It's anyone's guess where Condit goes from here. He has openly contemplated retirement before and it's extremely unlikely his next eight fights (if he gets that far) will go any better than the prior eight (2-6). The UFC brass will have to be exceedingly careful regarding who they match him up against should they decide to run him back out there again.

Booked for UFC 264
Condit will take on Max Griffin in a welterweight matchup at UFC 264 on July 10, Farah Hannoun of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Condit defeated Matt Brown via unanimous decision at UFC on ABC 1 in January and has now won back-to-back fights. Although his January matchup was the final fight on his UFC contract, he'll return to the company in July. Griffin has also won his last two fights, and he most recently defeated Song Kenan via KO (punch) at UFC Vegas 22 in March. Condit has an edge in height, but the two fighters are even in reach.

Enters free agency with win
Condit defeated Matt Brown via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC on ABC 1 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
It was the correct call in a fight in which neither man was able to create all that much separation from the other. Condit struggled with the wrestling of Brown in the early going before finding himself and controlling much of the second frame on the mat. That lead to a 118-27 edge for Condit in total strikes landed over the course of the first two rounds, although the fight never felt that lopsided at any particular point. Condit continued to limit Brown's space offensively in Round 3 en route to the victory. Condit has now won back-to-back fights for the first time since July 2011 to February 2012. Despite the recent string of success, this was the final fight on Condit's UFC contract, and it remains to be seen if the company has any interest in bringing back the 36-year-old.
