Looks to avoid fourth-straight loss
Silva will fight Ismail Naurdiev at UFC 308 on Oct. 26, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Silva is on his last legs in the UFC after losing three in a row and five of his last six overall. He simply isn't able to match the pace of his opponents on the feet, and the lopsided striking totals cause him to come out on the short end of decisions. He'll get one more shot against Naurdiev, who isn't a particularly high-volume striker either.

Set for six-month ban
Silva has accepted a six-month suspension for a "likely unintentional" violation of the UFC's anti-doping policy, according to Shaun Al-Shatti of MMAFighting.com.
ANALYSIS
Silva tested positive for the presence of 3a-Hydroxy-2a-methyl-5a-androstan-17-one, a metabolite of drostanolone, in an out-of-competition urine sample collected on April 11. Since the suspension is retroactive to the date of his positive test, Silva will be cleared to return to active competition on Oct. 11, but it's unclear if that'll give him time to schedule another fight before the end of the year. The 35-year-old UFC veteran has lost three consecutive bouts and five of his past six.

Losing streak hits three
Silva lost to Chris Weidman via technical unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Atlantic City.
ANALYSIS
This performance, against 2024 Weidman, will almost certainly spell the end of Silva's time with the company. Chris has been a punching bag for opponents for many years in the rare instances in which he enters the Octagon, but Silva could get nothing going offensively. He was constantly reaching for his opponent, and when he did connect, Weidman wasn't fazed in the least. Bruno did absorb four eye pokes, the last two of which ended the fight and going to the scorecards early, but Silva was going to drop a decision if this thing saw the final bell. The Brazilian has lost three in a row and four of five dating back to August 2022.

Will fight Weidman in March
Silva will fight Chris Weidman (leg) at UFC Atlantic City on March 30, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Silva -- along with Weidman -- is currently in a two-fight skid, and he's lost four of his last five bouts. However, Silva holds a win over Brad Tavares, who Weidman recently lost to.

Drops decision in UFC 294 opener
Silva lost to Sharaputdin Magomedov via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC 294 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
Silva had a tough go of it, particularly on the feet, but fought better than the final scorecards would lead you to believe. Bruno, known for his striking and power, was battered by Magomedov whenever the two were upright. This led to him changing the game plan and using his wrestling. He got the newcomer to the mat late in Round 2 and nearly the entirety of Round 3, but the damage was already done. Bruno definitely deserved to win the final frame, but it wouldn't have made a difference. Now 34 years of age, Silva drops to 1-3 in his past four fights dating back to March 2022.
