Sopaj will not fight Ricky Turcios at UFC Vegas 100, according to Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
ANALYSIS
Citing medical reasons, Turcios withdrew from the event just one day before it. It will be difficult to envision Sopaj getting a new opponent in one day's notice, likely meaning he will finish his debut year with the UFC having fought and lost once to Vinicius Oliveira.

Gasses out in ugly loss

Sopaj lost to Vinicius Oliveira via KO (flying knee) at 4:41 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Sopaj accepted this fight just five days ago. He won't be 24 years of age until late-September and was making his UFC debut. Despite the fact he was in camp training for another fight, both are possible reasons to help try to explain one of the worst gas jobs we have seen in recent memory. Sopaj dominated this fight for the better part of about eight minutes before it all came crashing down. His struggles allowed Oliviera, who had nothing going, to steal Round 2 with a strong finish. Of course, it ended up not mattering in the least given the fact Sopaj was finished with a brutal flying knee with just seconds to go. Bernardo has some physical abilities, but as we saw in this fight, it's going to be a work in progress. On the bright side, he'll take home an extra $50,000 after this back-and-forth affair was awarded Fight of the Night honors.
