April 17, 2021
Birchak lost to Tony Gravely via TKO (punches) at 1:31 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Birchak's has now been stopped in both his fights since returning to the company last November. Unable to compete on the feet and under constant pressure from the younger, more powerful Gravely, Birchak managed to clamp on a deep guillotine in the late stages of Round 1 and never threatened again. He appeared to be finished at multiple points in the first frame before finally being stopped in the early stages of Round 2. The 34-year-old Arizona native is 3-5 in his past eight bouts dating back to April 2017.

Birchak will fight Tony Gravely at a UFC event on April 17 after Nathan Maness pulled out of the fight, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
It's currently unclear why Maness pulled out of the fight, but Birchak took his place quickly. Birchak, after a four-year hiatus, returned to the octagon last November but lost to Gustavo Lopez via submission. He'll look to get back on track against Maness in April.

Birchak has been removed from the UFC Vegas 22 card, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Birchack's scheduled opponent, Johnny Eduardo, had to withdraw from Saturday's event due to visa concerns, and it appears that the UFC couldn't find an appropriate replacement with such short notice. The promotion could attempt to reschedule the matchup for a later date.

Birchak is looking for a new opponent after Johnny Eduardo withdrew from Saturday's fight at UFC Vegas 22 due to visa concerns, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The UFC is trying to find a new opponent on short notice. Birchak lost to Gustavo Lopez via submission (rear-naked choke) in his last fight back in November.
Draws Eduardo in March
BantamweightOther
February 18, 2021
Birchak will take on Johnny Eduardo in a bantamweight matchup at the UFC event scheduled for March 20, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Birchak returned from a four-plus year layoff last November but was submitted by Gustavo Lopez in the first round, bringing his UFC record down to 2-3. He'll now take on a 42-year-old fighter who will effectively be 33 months between fights at the date of this matchup. It could very well be a win-or-go-home situation for both men with respect to their futures in the UFC.
