Paul LaDue

LaDue has just 69 games of NHL experience to his name over the last four years, and he's managed just 18 points over that stretch. In 2019-20, he had one assist in two games with the Kings and 27 points in 48 outings with AHL Ontario. Now on a one-year contract with the Capitals, LaDue is unlikely to be anything more than defensive depth during the 2020-21 season. He'd have to outplay Trevor van Riemsdyk or Nick Jensen to secure a role on the third pairing -- it's more likely LaDue ends up on the Capitals' taxi squad or in the minors for the bulk of the campaign.
