Azevedo enjoyed his first fully healthy season at Manchester of the AHL, posting 53 points (18 G, 35 A) in 79 games last season. He might get a callup if injuries dictate but it's likely another season in the AHL for Azevedo.
Azevedo hasn't lived up to the promise he flashed in '07-08 when we was among the best players in the OHL (124 points in 67 games), struggling to find his game in each of the last two years in the AHL. He had just 27 points (14 G, 13 A) in 46 games last year in the AHL. He'll need to stand out this year or get totally lost in the Kings system.
Azevedo's size (5'7") makes it easy for him to slip under the radar but he did post 36 points in 49 games in the AHL last year as a 20-year old. The Kings have a plethora of talented forwards so things will have to break right for Azevedo to get noticed but he could see some time with the Kings to see if his game translates to the NHL level.
