Rowney nearly had back-to-back 20-point campaigns, but fell one shy of the mark in 71 NHL games last year. At 31 years old, Rowney is an established bottom-six player with a wrecking-ball style and strong defensive reputation, as he posted 189 hits and a plus-5 rating in 2019-20. The Alberta native's job should be relatively safe entering 2020-21, although he may face some challenge for playing time from Andrew Agozzino and David Backes. Fantasy managers in standard scoring leagues won't have any need for Rowney, but he could provide a small boost as a depth option in deeper formats that count hits.
