Bryan Berard

Berard has done well to re-establish himself as an NHL defenseman after his gruesome eye injury many years ago, but a back injury last season resulted in surgery and just 44 games played. Assuming he’s 100% he should man the point on the Blue Jackets’ top power play unit, but both he and the Columbus offense have a lot to prove. 45-50 points would seem to be about his ceiling, and there’s no guarantee he’ll play enough games to reach it.
