Evan Berofsky covers the angles on five more teams, including the Ducks, who have been playing better and are getting Cam Fowler back from a knee injury out of the All-Star break.
The Penguins face a must-win situation Saturday against Buffalo, while the red-hot Kyle Turris looks to help the Senators get into the postseason on the final day of the regular season.
2012 Fantasy Outlook
Benoit signed a one-year, two-way contract in the offseason, returning to the team after a one-year absence as he played for Spartak Moscow of the KHL during the 2011-12 season. Benoit is an offensively-minded blueliner who will be given a shot to make the big club out of camp due to an opening on Ottawa's third defensive pairing. He's spent the majority of his career in the AHL and helped lead Ottawa's affiliate in Binghamton to the 2011 Calder Cup. If Benoit is able to land a spot with Ottawa, he'll play third-pairing minutes, and might contribute to the second power-play unit. He has minor fantasy value, but could pot upwards of five goals and 10 assists with regular playing time.
