Vorobyov's signing rights were transferred from the Flyers to the Golden Knights Wednesday in a three-team trade that saw Noah Hanifin go to Vegas and Daniil Miromanov to Calgary, per CapFriendly.
ANALYSIS
Vorobyov, 27, has not played at the NHL level since 2019-20, but he remained on the Flyers' reserve list. He had five points in 35 contests over parts of two seasons. Given his age, it seems unlikely that he'll make an NHL comeback with an organization as full of talent as the Golden Knights.

The 22-year-old split time between the Flyers and AHL Lehigh Valley in 2019-20. In 15 NHL games, he only posted one goal and one assist, but added seven goals and 26 points in 42 AHL contests. The Russian forward will get an opportunity to earn a roster spot with the big club during training camp, but even if he cracks the Opening Night lineup, Vorobyov will have minimal fantasy value in 2019-20.
The 21-year-old Russian came over for his first taste of hockey in North America last season after showcasing his talent in the KHL and at the World Junior championship. In 58 AHL games last season, he scored nine goals and 29 points. Vorobyov spent time with the Flyers in training camp last fall but hasn't appeared in a regular-season NHL game. Keep an eye on this up-and-coming prospect during the late summer, especially in dynasty formats.
