Kamenev -- whom the Predators made a second-round, 42nd overall draft pick in 2014 -- produced only two goals and three assists between 23 games and 9:02 of average ice time for the Avalanche last season, but the Russian was given a chance on both the power play and penalty kill to suggest that he could be in line for a bigger role in 2019-20. Had it not been for a devastating shoulder injury that required surgery and ended Kamenev's campaign in early-December, conventional wisdom says the bottom-six pivot would've seen a whole lot more action at the top level. The shoulder injury depresses his fantasy prospects, but the 23-year-old will be worth keeping an eye on if he shows up to training camp healthy and eager to compete.
