Poirier is one of the better prospects in the Flames' system that has yet to spend extended time with the club, as he put up 42 points in his first full season with AHL Adirondack. The Flames did call him up for six games at the end of the season with a couple wingers resting up for the playoffs, but his first serious shot at joining the club full-time will arrive in the fall.
