Redmond has agreed to a contract with Red Bull Munich in Germany's top pro league for next season, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
The 31-year-old spent the last three seasons with Buffalo's minor-league affiliate, racking up 41 goals and 127 points across 183 AHL contests over that span. The organization will miss the veteran's leadership that he displayed since coming over in a trade from Montreal, as Redmond was a mentor to some of the Sabres' top prospects. Redmond has accumulated 38 points across 133 NHL appearances in his career.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2013
2012
Redmond is fully recovered from a nasty leg injury and now looks to get his NHL career back on track. The Jets signed the courageous defender to a one-year deal but he remains a fringe NHL/AHL player.
In 10 AHL games with the St. Johns IceCaps this season, Redmond managed a goal and two assists with an even rating. Redmond is considered a good young prospect for the Jets and he very well may get a chance to shine with the big club while Zach Bogosian continues to recover from wrist surgery. That said, Redmond is an unknown quantity fantasy wise and considering two of his teammates playing the same position can put up all-star numbers (Dustin Byfuglien and Tobias Enstrom) you're probably better off looking elsewhere for a diamond in the rough in this year's draft.
