Dumont had quite the season in 2016-17. The Sens grabbed him off waivers from the Lightning in late November. The Bolts then did the same in late February. Hopefully, he gets travel points for the back-and-forth. Dumont's greatest assets are his ability to win faceoffs and kill penalties. But he exploded offensively in the AHL after returning to Tampa. Dumont had 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) in just 18 AHL games last season. Yes, it's pretty much lightning in a bottle (no pun intended). Turning 28 years old at the start of the season, Dumont might vie for a fourth-line gig at the top level, though he's more likely to provide valuable leadership in the minors.
