The 5-foot-9, 173-pound Camper, who notched 47 points (second on the team) in 57 games for AHL Providence this past season, has three NHL games under his belt to date and will be a candidate for an in-season call-up when injuries hit the B's up front in 2013-14.
Camper is a smallish forward, who had a productive college career at Miami, recording 183 points in 156 games during his four-year stint at the university. He'll need to get stronger to thrive at the pro level, but he does have the wheels and skills to contribute to the B’s after having led AHL Providence in scoring this past season, with 48 points in 69 games. He’s probably a long shot to crack the big club’s roster out of training camp, but an in-season call-up seems probable if he doesn’t.
Listed at 5-10, 175 pounds, Camper is a smallish forward, who had a productive college career at Miami, recording 183 points in 156 games during his four-year stint at the university. He'll need to get stronger to thrive at the pro level, but he does have the wheels and skills to emerge as a legit prospect if that happens.
