Howden was hampered by various injuries last season, but has shown flashes of why he has a chance to make the Panthers out of camp this upcoming season on the wing. Though he hasn't been a particularly prolific goal scorer in the professional ranks, as a junior player for WHL Moose Jaw, Howden scored 70 goals over his last two seasons in 112 games. If he's able to show more of a nose for the net as he prepares for his fourth professional season, Howden could end up sticking in the NHL on a full-time basis in 2015-16, after logging only 16 games with the Panthers the year prior. Look for Howden to contend for a third- or fourth-line role in training camp.
