ANALYSIS
Moss spent the 2015-16 campaign playing for Biel HC of the Swiss League following a nine-year NHL career. The University of Michigan product was selected in the seventh round of the 2001 NHL Draft by the Flames. After six seasons in Canada, the winger moved down to the desert to play for the Coyotes. During his career, Moss registered 78 goals and 100 helpers in 501 regular-season contests, adding another six points over 17 outings in the playoffs.

Moss scored just 22 points in 2013-14, but he re-signed with Arizona and presumably will find himself in the top-nine once again. While he is not likely to have a breakout at age 32, Moss did significantly increase his shot total to 151, which could lead to an increase in goals if he can repeat it. He also set a new career high in hits, so he could be in line for an uptick in value if your league values defensive players who throw their bodies around.
Moss is reliable and consistent, but he's not really going to light up the scoreboard. The Coyotes continue to hurt for depth at wing, so the opportunity is there for him next season. And cracking the 20-point mark isn't out of reach.
Moss, acquired by Phoenix after a 32-game, nine-point season in Calgary, will likely have an increased role in Phoenix and could be a factor on the power play, something the Coyotes are usually looking to bolster. But even in possible second-line duty, he would be hard-pressed to deliver more than 30 points though there could be some sneaky value here.
Moss couldn't avoid the injury bug last season, as he sustained injuries in both the preseason (shoulder) and March (ankle), limiting him to 58 games played. The good news for Moss was that he performed well when he was actually out on the ice, having notched 17 goals and 30 points and a plus-9 rating. If the winger can avoid the injured list, he should enjoy another productive season with the Flames in 2011-12.
Moss showed some promise by scoring 20 goals last season. The disappointing part is that he only managed to chip in 19 assists for a mediocre total of 39 points. He will not likely crack one of the top two lines this year but he could see some power play time. Moss is not someone to completely ignore but wait until he shows you that he is putting it all together before you pick him up off of the waiver wire.
Moss missed half of the 2007-08 season with an ankle injury, putting up 11 points in 41 games when he did play. He did display flashes of offensive brilliance two seasons ago with 18 points in 41 games, but has struggled with injuries and inconsistency since. The winger will get the chance to join the second line this season, but wait for the waiver wire if you're going to take a chance on him.
Moss showed flashes of brilliance last season on the second line with Daymond Langkow and Kristian Huselius, scoring 18 points in 41 games. With the Flames' signing of Owen Nolan, however, Moss should be relegated to third-line duty, which drops his scoring potential. He will likely score in the 25-35 point range this season.
