This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.
The NHL regular season is nearing its conclusion, but there's still plenty of hockey action to enjoy. Tuesday, for example, has 11 games on the slate. Here are some players I recommend for daily fantasy purposes…
GOALIE
Washington Capitals, WAS vs. DAL ($16,500): The Capitals have had issues on the road. At home, Washington has a 25-9-2 record. The Stars, on the other hand, have lost five games in a row. Additionally, since the All-Star break, Dallas has only scored 2.30 goals per game, lowest in the NHL.
CENTER
Erik Haula, VGK vs. VAN ($11,800): Haula has scored 28 goals in 67 games, including 11 on the power play. Four of those goals have also come in his last four contests. The Canucks have a 3.24 GAA, third-highest in the NHL, and they also have the 25th-ranked penalty kill.
Matt Duchene, OTT vs. FLA ($10,700): Duchene has nine points in his last seven games, and four times during that span he has had multi-point outings. The Panthers have allowed 34.7 shots on net per contest, and they are also on the road for the second night of a back-to-back. Because of that, James Reimer will be in net. He is sporting a 3.06 GAA and a .910 save percentage.
WING
Jake Guentzel, PIT at NYI ($12,200): It's been a little while since Guentzel scored a goal, but he has 20 in 72 games. He's also skating on Pittsburgh's top line alongside Sidney Crosby, which helps. What helps even more? A matchup with the Islanders, who have a 3.60 GAA. That's highest in the NHL, and they've also given up a league-high 35.7 shots on net per contest. Don't be surprised if Guentzel lights the lamp again.
Sebastian Aho, CAR vs. EDM ($11,800) Aho has a five-game point streak going, giving him 57 points in 68 contests. Meanwhile, since the All-Star break the Oilers have a 3.22 GAA and have allowed 34.9 shots on net per game. Edmonton also has the 28th-ranked penalty kill, and Aho has 15 points with the extra man.
Wayne Simmonds, PHI at DET ($10,500): Since returning from injury, Simmonds has three goals and three assists through seven games. He's also put 20 shots on net in that time. The Red Wings have a 3.25 GAA since the All-Star break, and in his last 19 games, Jimmy Howard had a 3.29 GAA and an .897 save percentage. If Jared Coreau ends up in net for Detroit that's even better, as he has a 4.48 GAA and an .856 save percentage.
DEFENSEMEN
Morgan Rielly, TOR at TAM ($10,900): Rielly has a five-game point streak, and in that time, he's tallied six points with the extra man. On top of that, he's notched 31 shots on goal in his last eight contests. Despite all their success, the Lightning have a 3.35 GAA since the All-Star break. They also have the 26th-ranked penalty kill, and Rielly has 20 power-play points.
Ryan Pulock, NYI vs. PIT ($9,100): Pulock has tallied six points in his last five games. He's also put 146 shots on goal in 58 contests and blocked 75 shots. The Penguins have a 3.30 GAA on the road, bottom-10 in the NHL. Matt Murray may be able to return for Pittsburgh, but if he doesn't, Casey DeSmith will be in goal. In his last seven outings he has a 3.16 GAA and an .898 save percentage.
