Schwab will be in the field for this week's Charles Schwab Challenge, Rob Bolton of PGATour.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Schwab is slated to replace Adam Svensson (undisclosed) in the field at Colonial Country Club this week, though the former has missed the cut in three consecutive outings dating back to the Mexico Open. Schwab tied for 57th in his CSC debut last year, however.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2022
Schwab increased his PGA tour events from 23 to 36 last season, making the cut in 50 percent of tournaments played. The Austrian secured just one top-10 finish at the Corales Puntacana Championship with his only other top-50 result coming at the Fortinet Championship Fall. Schwab's approach play is solid, but he struggles in most other metrics including SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Putting.
Schwab only played in 23 events during the 2022 season, but he arguably made the most of his appearances. His season scoring average was an impressive 70.6. En route to completing his first full PGA Tour season, he notched three top 10 finishes at The Honda Classic, the Valero Texas Open, and the Puerto Rico Open. Schwab also converted over 65 percent of his cuts, making him a viable survivor choice most weeks. Keep a close eye out for the 27-year-old to continue establishing himself on Tour this upcoming season.
Schwab made less than $10K on the PGA Tour last season, but the 26-year-old Austrian has compiled six top-15s on the European Tour through August in 2021. His best career performance on the PGA Tour came back in August of 2020 when he tied for third at the Barracuda Championship. Schwab also made his way to Tokyo for the Olympic Games this past summer, tying for 27th in Japan.
