K.H. Lee

33-Year-Old Golfer
2025 Fantasy Outlook
2024 was Lee's worst season in quite some time even with a pair of top-5s, as he missed 15 cuts and showed little form over his last four starts. While his play around the green remains solid, it's difficult to find anything else he does well or as good as his peak. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Lee battling to keep his Tour card in 2025 unless he can continue to have spike weeks against weaker fields on the rare times that everything is clicking. With that said, he can make birdies in bunches and does have a win in two of the last four years, so his range of outcomes is much wider than most. Read Past Outlooks
Misses cut in Mexico
November 12, 2024
Lee recorded a two-round score of two-over-par to miss the cut by four shots at this past week's World Wide Technology Championship.
ANALYSIS
Lee hit only 24 of 36 greens in regulation throughout his two rounds at El Cardonal, converting just four of 12 scrambling opportunities en route to the early exit as well. However, he remains inside of the top-100 in the FedExCup Fall standings at No. 98 ahead of the upcoming Butterfield Bermuda Championship where he's a career 2-for-2 in cuts made.

Previous to this past season, Lee had posted consecutive seasons landing inside the top-30, but this past year he nearly fell out of the top-60. Thanks to the elevated events though, his earnings number stayed about the same. Lee's drop off can be attributed to one poor stretch that lasted from June-August this past year. That stretch, on paper, looks like someone that went through something, be it an injury or something else that might have distracted him. Considering he played at a very high level for two entire seasons, it's reasonable to think last year was the fluke. As such, Lee is a solid salary cap option this season.
Lee played fairly well during his first two seasons on the PGA Tour, finishing right around 100 on the FedEx list in both seasons, so when he picked up his first win during his third season and earned over $3 million, it was to say the least, a surprise. Also surprising was that Lee backed up that season with an even better season in 2021-22, going back-to-back at the Byron Nelson and making it to the Tour Championship after being No. 31 in 2020-21. Lee was mostly a boom-or-bust player during his first three seasons, but went a solid 21-for-28 this past season to show he can play well at different types of courses.
Lee had a decent rookie season where he earned more than $1 million and landed in the top 125 on the FedEx Cup points list, but he failed to build upon that momentum in his second season. His third season however, his most recent, Lee really came into his own. Lee looks like a solid PGA Tour player, but he set the bar awfully high in 2020-21. As such, he's a tough sell in salary cap leagues this year. Expect a slight regression this season.
The South Korean has qualified for the FedEx Cup Playoffs the last two seasons but has been unable to make the BMW Championship either year. Lee tends to be fairly average in all aspects of his game, but he struggles to make enough birdies to post many top-10s. Probably a player to avoid due to lack of much upside.
Lee's rookie season got off to a rough start, as he missed the cut in seven of his first 11 events, but he turned it around in time to secure his card for the upcoming season. While Lee's season has to be described as a success, there are some issues that are concerning. Lee posted only two top-10s and one of them came at the Zurich Classic, which. of course, is a team event. He also missed plenty of cuts late in the season as well. As such, he carries too much risk in salary cap formats this season.
Lee failed to find the winner's circle on the Web.com Tour in 2018, but he posted a trio of runner-up finishes to ultiamtely finish fifth on the regular season money list. The 27-year-old Korean placed T47 during his lone start on th PGA Tour last October at the CJ Cup. Lee ranked top-25 on the Web.com Tour in both GIR percentage and birdie average, but was outside of the top-100 in total driving which could hurt his productivity at the next level.
