Braden Thornberry

27-Year-Old Golfer
2025 Fantasy Outlook
A former collegiate All-American at Ole Miss where he won the 2017 Haskins Award, Thornberry is finally slated to embark on his PGA Tour journey as a 27-year-old rookie in 2025 after winning the Korn Ferry Tour Championship in early October. He posted only two top-10s across 25 KFT starts in 2024, but he ranked seventh in putting average and 16th in total birdies. Thornberry will now look to qualify for his first major championship since a missed cut at the 2018 U.S. Open. Read Past Outlooks
Leads field in SG: Putting in Memphis
June 11, 2018
Thornberry closed with a disappointing two-over 72 on Sunday to fall into a tie for 26th place at the FedEx St. Jude Classic.
ANALYSIS
Thornberry made headlines last year in Memphis with a fourth place showing as an amateur. This time around he showed that it was not a fluke, coming into the final round inside the top-10. Thornberry did not have the Sunday he was looking for with three birdies, two bogeys, and a triple-bogey on the par-4 12th hole. The Ole Miss product still led the field in SG: Putting, gaining a whopping nine strokes on the greens alone. He definitely didn't have his best ball striking week, however, as he only hit 47 percent of the greens in regulation and was 62nd in SG: Tee-to-green. Thornberry will tee it up at the U.S. Open next week and will be paired with Jason Dufner and Brandt Snedeker for the opening two rounds.
