At 17-under Spain's Lara, closing with an eight-under 64, won his first European Tour win in four years beating England's David Lynn in a one-hole playoff at the Austrian Open. No. Ireland's Graeme McDowell, Sweden's Alexander Noren and England's Danny Willett tied for third a 14-under.

ANALYSIS
Lynn three-putted while Lara parred the extra hole for the win. Lara, with nine consecutive missed cuts prior to finishing fourth at last week's KLM Open, was in danger of losing his card. Austrian amateur Mathias Schwab had the best European Tour performance by a 15-year old, with a tie for 32nd at five-under.
