In past years, Chicago struggled with interior defense, both in terms of stopping the run and pressuring opposing quarterbacks. In the short term, Pickens may find himself competing with free-agent addition Andrew Billings, who is a six year veteran. However, if Pickens lives up to his draft capital early on, he could take the lead in what will likely be a defensive line rotation.
