2024 Fantasy Outlook
After being selected in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, Palmer was the No. 3 receiver for the Buccaneers. Palmer took on that role after Russell Gage suffered a season-ending injury in the preseason. Palmer didn’t have more than four catches in any game. In addition, the receiver only surpassed 22 yards once in his first 14 games. Palmer did show potential by averaging 44.8 yards over his last five games, which included two playoff games. It should be noted that Palmer often played in the slot, but new offensive coordinator Liam Coen said he expects Chris Godwin to see an increased slot role. Also, the Bucs added Jalen McMillan in the draft. It would seem that McMillan would have the edge for an outside role over Palmer when the team goes to three-receiver sets, If that happens, Palmer’s production and playing time could suffer. Limited to special teams in win
Palmer did not draw a target and returned one punt for three yards in the Buccaneers' 28-13 win over the Raiders on Sunday. He also fumbled but recovered.
ANALYSIS
Palmer was able to work through a hip injury to suit up, but he went without a target for only the second time this season and played just seven snaps on offense overall. The second-year wideout saw fellow reserve Rakim Jarrett outpace him by three snaps and may essentially be in a timeshare for the No. 4 receiver spot with the latter at this point. However, with the majority of Baker Mayfield's attention centered on top three receivers Mike Evans, Jalen McMillan and Sterling Shepard -- and a fair share of targets also going to Cade Otton, Rachaad White and Bucky Irving (back) -- there isn't much left to go around for anyone else in the pass-catching corps.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Palmer may only be a rookie sixth-round pick, but his 4.33 40-yard dash is the stuff of a higher-pedigreed player. He finished his college career at Nebraska last year after transferring from LSU and made the most of the move, totaling 71 catches, 1,043 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Palmer's speed is naturally unrivaled on the team, but how well it translates against pro defenses remains to be seen. For the moment, he seems almost certain to open the season as the No. 4 wideout, at best, behind the experienced trio of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Russell Gage.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set to reclaim WR3 duties Sunday
Palmer is set to serve as the Buccaneers' No. 3 wideout behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin due to Jalen McMillan being listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Eagles with a hamstring injury, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Palmer has failed to haul in a pass over the last two regular-season games, as he's seen his playing time diminish while playing behind Evans, Godwin and McMillan. However, with McMillan unlikely to play Sunday, Palmer has an opportunity to earn a larger role for himself in the offense if he can establish himself as a reliable target for quarterback Baker Mayfield. Palmer played in all 17 regular-season games for Tampa Bay in 2023, and he finished with 39 catches on 68 targets for 385 yards and three touchdowns.
